Hi! My Name Is Alireza Hodayibozorgi, But Everyone Calls Me Ali!
I am a director of photography and a colorist with a diverse portfolio and a keen eye for detail and a great passion for storytelling. I have worked on a wide range of projects, including commercials, music videos, TV shows, documentaries, short narratives, and feature films. Either working on location with a crew or color grading remotely, I am confident in my ability to adapt to any situation to produce high-quality artistic work.
My experience in both cinematography and color grading has given me a strong eye, a confident approach, and a creative vision. I am passionate about my craft and enjoy collaborating with new artists, challenging myself creatively, and embarking on new adventures.
Here are a few specific examples of my work:
I was the DP for the award-winning feature film "Golden Time" (2017). The film was praised for its unique cinematography (all shot during the golden hour in about 2 years) and its haunting story.
I was the Senior Colorist for the TV show "Blue Whale" (2019). The show is known for its stunning cinematography, and I was proud to be a part of the team that brought it to life.
I recently served as both the Director of Photography and Colorist for "A Hopeful Letter" (2023), a commercial video produced for LKLaw firm in BC, in partnership with Agency Media from Langley. Our collaboration earned us the Gold Award at the Muse Creative Advertising Festival, a testament to our commitment to impactful and innovative storytelling.
I am always looking for new challenges and eager to collaborate with new artists. If you are looking for a dp or colorist who can help you bring your vision to life, I would love to learn more about it!
